Starting in the 70s, the Novillo Astrada family has participated in the highest handicap polo tournaments in Argentina and around the world. Since then, they have been considered one of the best polo players of their generation.
La Aguada entered the 'Triple Corona' with Eduardo 'Taio' in the 1980s. In 1989, the family team secured its first 'Triple Corona' by winning the Hurlingham Open. The final consecration arrived in 2003 when four of the brothers (Eduardo, Miguel, Javier, and Ignacio) clinched the Triple Crown after an unbeaten streak of 11 games.
Also, the Novillo Astrada family has achieved victories in prestigious tournaments such as the USPA Gold Cup, the US Open, the Queen's Cup, and the British Open. They have also participated in high handicap competitions worldwide, standing out not only for their sporting performance and professionalism but also for their human values.
To date, La Aguada remains the only team made up of four brothers to have achieved the “Triple Corona”, the highest accomplishment in polo worldwide.
